Jane Hartley holds the position of Paediatric Hepatologist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, UK, Clinical Lead and BASL committee paediatric representative.
She qualified from Leeds University in 1996 training initially in general paediatrics and achieved a Masters in Child Health. Jane began specialised paediatric hepatology training at Birmingham Children’s Hospital from 2003 which has included three years of laboratory research working gaining a PhD into the molecular genetics of paediatric liver disease. This work has led to major publications and international presentations.
Outside the role of paediatric Hepatology Jane is a keen musician and plays the cornet in a local brass band.
